What is that?
This fantastic photo was taken by our friend RadVen at Burning Man 2006.
It's the Personal Aura Device v 1.0, comprised of the following pieces:
- lighted crown
- arm vambraces
- leg greaves under skirt
- poi (currently shown in rainbow mode)
I'm wearing a total of 144 super bright LEDs that can be set to either a "music" mode or one of many pattern modes. The poi pattern can be changed independent of the body, as shown in this picture.
My partner, the primary hardware/software engineer for the project, had a similar setup with a tophat. We also made a staff and a spare set of poi. We were...um... fairly visible in the desert.
